Let me tell you that, now the GST rate on smartphones has been changed from 12 percent to 18 percent and after the hike in the rate of Goods and Services Tax (GST) from 1 April in India, many smartphone companies have decided to increased the price of their smartphones, and Apple is the one of a big company of them. Apple says that due to the GST rate hike in India, they have increased the price of some of their iPhone models by 5 percent, and these changes have been implemented in India from the 1st of April.

iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 plus, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 pro, iPhone 11 pro max, and iPhone XR are some of the devices which price company has increased. Let's know more about its increased prices.
Price of iphone 7, iphone 8 and iphone 8 Plus Devices:-
If to talk about the iPhone 7, then earlier this device was priced at Rs 29900, but now after the increase in the price of the iPhone 7, users will have to pay Rs 31,500 to get this phone. This means that this phone has become expensive by Rs 1600. It means that the user will have to pay 1600 rupees more to buy this phone. On the other hand, the prices of iPhone 8 have also increased, now 64 GB storage variants of iPhone 8 will now be available for Rs 40,500 and 128 GB variants have been priced at Rs 45,500. Where, if to talk about the iPhone 8 Plus, then the 64 GB storage variant of the iPhone 8 Plus will be available in the Indian market for Rs 50,600, while the 128 GB variant will be available for Rs 55,600. Earlier its price used to start from Rs 49,900.

Similarly, Apple has increased the initial price of 64 GB storage variants of iPhone 11 from Rs 64,900 to Rs 68,300. It has increased by Rs 3,400. This means that users will have to pay Rs 3,400 more to buy the iPhone 11. At the same time, the initial price of iPhone 11 pro has increased by Rs 5,400, to get iPhone 11 pro users will have now to pay Rs 1,06,600. Earlier it was priced at Rs 1,01,200, it means you will have to pay Rs 5400 more for it. while the 256 GB variant of this device will now be available for Rs 1,15,200 and the 512 GB storage variant will be available for Rs 1,33,200.
Price of iPhone 11 pro max and iPhone XR Devices:-
If to talk about the price of iPhone 11 pro max, which is an upgraded version of iPhone 11 pro, then the price of 64 GB storage variant of iPhone 11 pro max was earlier fixed at Rs 1,11,200, which has now become Rs 1,17,100. This means that it has increased by Rs 5,900, while its 256 GB storage variant will now be available for Rs 1,25,200 and the 512 GB variant will be available for Rs 1,43,200. On the other hand, the 64 GB storage variant of the iPhone XR will now be available in India for Rs 68,300, whereas earlier this model was sold for Rs 64,900. This means that it has increased by Rs 3400.
Let me informed you that, other smartphone companies like Realme, Xiaomi, Vivo have also increased the prices of their devices due to increase in GST rate in India. In such situations, this year is going to be very expensive for smartphone users.
