  • Xiaomi sub-brand company POCO has launched its third POCO M2 Pro device in India, the company has introduced it under the affordable budget segment. Most of the design of the Poco M2 Pro is similar to the Redmi Note 9 Pro, and it seems to be a mixed version of the Redmi Note 9 and the Redmi Note 9 Pro.

POCO M2 Pro launch in India

POCO:- Xiaomi sub-brand company POCO has today launched another affordable device POCO M2 Pro in the Indian market. The main objective of this new Poco smartphone is to attract its mid-range users who are demanding devices under Rs 15,000. This is POCO's third smartphone in India after separation from Xiaomi. Earlier, the company launched the POCO X2 device in India in the month of February this year, now the company has brought the POCO M2 Pro phone and is the most affordable device of POCO so far. The device has been launched at a starting price of Rs 13,999 and  It will be available in three variant options up to 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.

 If seen, the design of Poco M2 Pro is very similar to the Redmi Note 9 Pro launched in March this year. If to talk about its major features, then the device comes with a quad rear camera and a punch-hole display. In addition, it is equipped with a large 5000mAh battery with 33-watt fast charging support. The sale of this device will begin on July 14 from 12 noon on the Flipkart website. The POCO M2 Pro has a 6.67-inch full HD + display with a 1080x2400 pixel resolution. Apart from this, it has an IPS LCD panel with a 20: 9 aspect ratio and a 60Hz refresh rate. The device is also equipped with a punch-hole display where the selfie camera is placed. POCO has provided a Symmetrical design in this device. In terms of security, the company has given Corning Gorilla Glass protection in the front, back, and rear camera. For good performance, the device is powered by a 2.3 GHz octa-core processor and is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset with Adreno 618 GPU for graphics. This hardware combination increases device performance and makes it more valuable.

 In terms of software, It runs on the latest version Android 10 operating system based on the MIUI 11 ROM and is loaded with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage support. POCO M2 Pro has been made available in three variant options like 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. In addition, to save significant bulk data in the device, the company has provided support for memory storage expansion of up to 512 GB via a dedicated micro SD card slot.

Camera of POCO M2 Pro:-

Another highlight of this device is its quad rear camera setup which is given on the back panel, which includes a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. The quad rear-camera setup is equipped with a bunch of various modes such as Pro Video Mode, Pro Color Mode, Raw Mode, and Log Mode. It also features auto-focus and LED flash. The front camera is 16-megapixels for selfie and video calling, which is placed on a punch-hole display. This selfie camera also has a Night Mode feature and can record 1920x1080 pixel of video at 30 fps.

Battery & Other Features:-

For long battery backup, this device is equipped with a 5000mAh power of the massive battery, which looks about 8.8 mm thick. Apart from the battery, users will also get a 33-watt fast charger, which can charge the phone up to 50% in just 30 minutes. The POCO company has also provided India's best navigation satellite system in the device called the NAVIC Navigation System. In addition, the device is also equipped with P2i nano-coating which protects against dust and splash resistance.

 Also, in terms of connectivity, it includes features like 4G, VoLTE, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 AC, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. For the sensor, it has an accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, gyroscope, compass, and a proximity sensor. The Poco M2 Pro measures 165.7 x 76.6 x 8.8 mm in dimensions and weighs 209 grams.

Price & Availability of POCO M2 Pro:-

The company has launched POCO M2 Pro in three variant options in India, which includes 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage of basic variant, and the price of this variant has been fixed at Rs 13,999. The second variant comes with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, which costs Rs 14,999. The top variant comes with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage options and its price in India has been fixed at Rs 16,999. 

 The device will be available in three color options like black, green, and blue. The first official sale of this device will start at 12 noon on July 14 and it will be available for purchase on the Flipkart India website. POCO M2 Pro is expected will give tough competition in India to other budget devices such as Redmi Note 9, Realme Narzo 10, Realme 6, and Vivo U20.
