Hello friends, As you probably know that there are many smartphone production companies in the markets, which regularly produce various new gadgets for their consumers as per their requirements. These days, there is immense rivalry among the many smartphone companies that have to keep complete control over the electronic market. Additionally, for this, they keep on producing new gadgets with advanced highlight features and new specifications at reasonable rates to tempt their customers to buy their products.

If you are a Smartphone user and if you want to know which of the Chipset or Processor is present on your Android phone, then this blog is going very beneficial for you. Moreover, this blog will also help you to know all other important features about the other presented hardware gears and software programming of the device. Knowing about your device’s Chipset and the Processor is very important for the users before performing any task. Any task means rooting your device, flashing any custom recovery or firmware, etc. For example, if you want to root your device or flash any custom ROM, then you will follow the suitable process according to the Chipset or Processor of the gadget, and because of the right process that will help you to protect your device from any kind of damages.

The main reason for establishing this blog is that many android users want to use the "Engineering Mode the advanced hidden settings option" on their android phones. But every phone does not support engineering mode, mostly the devices that come installed with the Media-Tek chipset that only supports the engineering mode settings option. Many of my followers have asked me about the process, how to find out which chipset or processor has installed in their phones. So, in this blog, I have explained to you the entire process about how to find out which chipset or processor has installed on your phone.

What is Engineering Mode:-

"Engineering mode" is a hidden advanced settings option that comes in most Android devices, and it is accessible using special codes or third-party applications according to the different models. This setting is mostly run on those devices that come installed with the MediaTek chipset. This hidden setting includes many advanced useful setting options about hardware, software, sensors, battery temperature, etc. This setting is most useful for the users who have a good knowledge of Android development and have a rooted device.

Benefits of Engineering Mode:-

The "Engineering Mode" helps users to change the LTE band and another important network setting. Also, It helps to change the device's IMEI number and WiFi MAC address to use the free WiFi network. Apart from this, It promotes managing the CPU range, device performance, and battery temperature. This hidden setting helps to test all sensors of the device and to adjust the audio volume of the device.

As we have already told you that this setting is generally available in the MediaTek-made chipset phones. You can access this hidden setting by using *#*#3646633#*#* code on your phone or by installing the MTK Engineering Mode application, which is available in the google play store. Remember that, use this secret hidden setting very carefully, if you don't have enough knowledge about it, then I suggest you don't use it without getting proper knowledge. Otherwise, use it at your own risk.

How to check the chipset, processor, and other hardware details of any android phone:-

There are many third-party applications and software available on Google and other app stores, which easily accomplishes the aim of showing the details of your Android phone's chipset and processor. But along with the chipset, if you would like to know more about the hardware and specifications of your device, then I suggest you download the DevCheck application on your device, which will show you the entire information about the device's CPU, Graphics, GPU, Battery, Camera, Network, Sensors, and OS, etc. So let's start with how this app works.

Follow the following process:-

  • Download and install the " DevCheck Hardware and System Info" app from the Google play store or from here. This app is very handy to understand, and it does not require a rooted phone to use it.
  • Once you install the application on your device, open it. Now on the main dashboard page, you would see the current ongoing status of the device's CPU, battery, RAM, and storage capacity.

  • Now, to see the chipset and installed hardware features of the device, just click on the hardware option has given above, which will provide you with brief information about the phone's Chipset, Processor, Graphics, RAM, Memory, Storage, Bluetooth, etc. Here within the processor section, you'll see the chipset of your Android phone, as you can see that the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset has listed within the below image.

  • Further, in the System section, you will find all the statistics about the installed software program such as System manufacturer, Device model, ROM version, Android version, Build date, Kernel version,  IMEI number, and Many more.
  • Apart from this, the Battery department will show you the current status of your device's battery, its temperature, health, voltage, and battery capacity.

  • In the network department, you will see all information of the device's network connections, such as WiFi MAC address, dual SIM connection, LTE, VoLTE, 4G, IP address, gateway, public IP address, SIM IMSI number, SIM operator details and Many others.

  • Whereas in the App section, you will see all preinstalled system applications as well as third-party applications. This section will be very beneficial to the users to remove unwanted third-party applications.

  • The last two sections of this software application are very imperative for you. In the camera section, you will understand all data about your device's rear camera as properly as selfie digicam features, its resolution, pixel size, and many more.
  • While the ultimate section will disclose to you all the active sensors of the device, which you can check manually whether it is working properly on your system or not

So thus, after following the above guide, you will get to know which chipset or processor is installed in your phone, as well as you will be able to know all the hardware details and features of your device using this application.
