  • The iQOO 5 and iQOO 5 Pro have been launched in China under the company's iQOO 5 Series. Both devices in this series mostly come with similar design and features. However, iQOO 5 comes in three storage variants, while iQOO 5 Pro has been made available in two storage variants and this phone is now available in two different color options in China.
  • Specifications of the IQOO 5 Series include 120Hz screen refresh rate, triple rear advanced camera setup, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, and in-display fingerprint sensor.   • The iQOO 5 Series has been launched in China with 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage option. The initial price of the iQOO 5 series starts from CNY 3,998 (about 43,100) for the iQOO 5 version and CNY 4,998 (about 53,900) for the iQOO 5 Pro version in China. Pre-booking for this series has already been started in China and it will go on sale from August 24 through the Chinese official website.


iQOO 5 Series Launched

iQOO 5:- The Vivo sub-brand IQOO has finally launched its latest flagship phones of the IQOO 5 series in the Chinese market on 17 August. Under this series, the company has introduced two devices IQOO 5 and IQOO 5 Pro as successors to the IQOO 3, which was launched in February this year. However, the IQOO 5 comes with all the flagship features, while the IQOO 5 Pro comes with some premium features, and both devices have 5G connectivity. The special feature of this series is that both the devices in the series have a punch-hole display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and are equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. 

The most attractive highlight is that iQOO 5 has 55W fast charging support, while iQOO 5 Pro comes with 120W fast charging support. The company has made these devices available only in the Chinese market, and the company has no word about its availability in the Indian market. However, it is expected that the company will soon launch the IQOO 5 Series in India. Let's take a brief look at the price and specifications of the iQOO 5 Series.

Specifications of iQOO 5 & iQOO 5 Pro:-

The iQOO 5 and iQOO 5 Pro comes with dual (nano)SIM and 5G connectivity support. Apart from this, both the devices have a 6.56-inch full HD + AMOLED display with 1080x2376 pixels resolution, which features a 120Hz refresh rate, 19.8: 9 aspect ratio, 92.6 percent screen-to-body ratio with 240Hz touch sampling rate. In addition, both phones have a punch-hole cut-out display for selfie camera that has a stunning 1,300 NIT peak brightness, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and HDR10 + support.

The only notable difference between the two devices is that the iQOO 5 comes with a flat front display panel, while the iQOO 5 Pro has a curved edge front display panel. Apart from this, both phones have an in-display fingerprint sensor, which is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass Protection.

Performance & Software Features of iQOO 5 & iQOO 5 Pro:-

For speed and performance, the iQOO5 and iQOO5 Pro are powered by 2.84 GHz octa-core processors and are equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. While both phones have Adreno 650 GPU for graphics, which improves the performance of the device. In terms of software, phones of the iQOO5 series run on the latest version Android 10 OS based on the iQOO UI 1.5 ROM and added up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage options. 

In addition, the company has made iQOO5 phone available in three storage variants and iQOO5 Pro phone in two storage variants in China. However, to store significant bulk data, the company has not given SDCard storage expansion supports in both phones.

Camera Features of iQOO 5 & iQOO 5 Pro:-

For photography, the iQOO5 series is equipped with a triple rear camera setup on the back panel, which includes a 50-megapixel Samsung GN1 primary camera with an f / 1.85 lens and OIS support. Further, the iQOO5 has a 13-megapixel secondary telephoto camera with an f / 2.4 lens, which provides a 2x optical zoom. While the iQOO5 Pro has an 8-megapixel periscope secondary camera that offers up to 5x optical zoom. In addition, both phones of iQOO5 Series have a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f / 2.2 lens, which gives a 120-degree field-of-view.

However, iQOO5 Pro comes with OIS support and offers 60x digital and 5x optical zoom. While the rear camera setup is capable of recording 4k and 8k UHD in 30FPS. In terms of selfie and video calling, there is a 16-megapixel of selfie camera given on the front panel of iQOO5 and iQOO5 Pro phones, which is placed on the punch-hole cut-out notch. In addition, both devices are equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner and dual stereo speakers.

Battery & Other Features of iQOO 5 & iQOO 5 Pro:-

For long battery backup, the iQOO5 device is equipped with a 4500mAh power of battery with 55W fast charging support. The company has claimed that it can charge the battery from 0 to 100% in just 50 minutes. On the other hand, the iQOO5 Pro variant comes with a 4000mAh power of the battery that supports 120W fast charger, which can charge 100 percent battery in just 15 minutes and 50 percent battery in just 5 minutes.

In terms of connectivity, it has features such as 5G, 4G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, USB Type-C port, etc., while the sensor features include a light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, compass, and gyroscope. 
Finally, the iQOO 5 measures 160 x 75.6 x 8.3 mm in dimensions and 197 grams in weight. While the iQOO 5 Pro measures 159.6 x 73.3 x 8.9 mm in dimensions and weighs 198 grams.



Price & Availability of iQOO 5 & iQOO 5 Pro:-

The company has launched the iQOO5 Pro model in two storage variants, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and this variant is priced at CNY 4,498 (around Rs 53,900) in China. The second variant comes in 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, priced at CNY 5,498 (about Rs 59,300). The IQOO5 Pro version comes in Track Edition and Legendary Edition color options.

On the other hand, the iQOO 5 model is made available in three storage variant options, including 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variants, priced at CNY 3,998 (about 43,100). The second variant comes in 12GB RAM and 128GB storage, priced at CNY 4,298 (about Rs 46,300) and the third variant comes in 12GB RAM and 256GB storage and the price of this variant is CNY 4,598 (about Rs 49,600). 

The iQOO 5 model comes in Star Trace and Hao Ying color options. The first official sale for the iQOO 5 series in China will begin on August 24 via the company's official website and other online and offline stores. However, pre-booking for the iQOO5 series has already started on the Chinese official website.
