  • Samsung has launched two phones Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra as the latest flagship models of the Galaxy Note series. It has been launched in 4G + 5G connectivity with different RAM and storage variants.
  • The Galaxy Note 20 comes with a 60Hz display refresh rate, while the Note 20 Ultra has a 120Hz refresh rate. Both phones in the Note series are equipped with Exynos 990 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipsets that depend on different markets and have a triple rear camera setup. The Galaxy Note 20 comes with the S Pen which has 26ms latency, while Note 20 Ultra comes with the Advanced S Pen which has 9ms latency.
  • The company has launched the Galaxy Note 20 series in two different processors in different countries and has made these phones available in three color variants. The first sale for this series will begin on August 21 at Samsung.com and other available offline stores. However, pre-booking for these devices has been started in India, on which the company is offering cashback offers.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Series

Galaxy:- Smartphone production company Samsung has launched four devices at its Unpacked 2020 launch event, including the Galaxy Tab S7 Series, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Watch 3, and Galaxy Note 20 Series. But users were waiting for a long time for the launch of the Galaxy Note 20 series. Like last year, this year also the company has launched two phones under its Note 20 series, which are Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra phones. Earlier, several different rumors were surfacing about the launch of the Galaxy Note 20 series, which has now ended with its launch. However, the Galaxy Note 20 has been launched as a successor to the Galaxy Note 10 device, and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has been introduced as a rebranded version of the Galaxy Note 10+ device, which was launched last year. 

 Both Galaxy Note 20 series phones are equipped with the latest chipsets and have a larger screen. The Galaxy Note 20 Series comes with 4G connectivity as well as 5G connectivity with various storage variants. The specialty of this series is that it comes with S Pen stylus, hole-punch design, and rectangular-shaped rear camera module. The Galaxy Note 20 series is made available in three color options and will be made available for purchase through select online and offline stores from August 21. Specifications of Galaxy Note 20:-

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 has a 6.7-inch full HD + Super AMOLED + flat display with 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution. The phone comes with a punch-hole design display on which the selfie camera is placed. This hole-punch display has a 60Hz refresh rate, 20: 9 aspect ratio, 393 PPI pixel density, and 89.2 percent screen-to-body ratio. In terms of security, the device is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass Protection which has HDR10 + support.

 For speed and multitasking, this device is powered by a 2x2.73GHz octa-core Cortex processor and is equipped with an Exynos 990 chipset with Mali-G77 MP11 GPU for graphics. This hardware combination is made available in the global market. Whereas in the United States and China, the device is powered by a 3.0GHz octa-core Kryo processor and is equipped with an Adreno 650 GPU with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset. In addition, the device runs on One UI 2.5 ROM based on the latest version Android 10 O / S. The Galaxy Note 20 is paired with 8GB RAM and two storage128GB + 256GB variants, which is not expandable via micro SD card.

Camera Features of Galaxy Note 20:-

For photography, this device comes with three rear camera setup on the back panel that includes a 12-megapixel primary camera with f / 1.8 lens, which has dual-pixel autofocus and optical image stabilization feature. In addition, the setup includes a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with an f / 2.0 lens that offers a 3x hybrid optical zoom. Finally, there is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f / 2.2 lens, which provides a 120-degree field-of-view.

 On the other hand, it has a 10-megapixel selfie camera with an f / 2.2 lens on the front panel, which supports dual-pixel autofocus. Apart from this, the company has given Dolby Stereo speakers in this device for better music experience, which has been tuned by AKG. Also, the phone has an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.

Battery & Other Features of Galaxy Note 20:-

For long battery backup, this device is packed with a 4,300mAh power of battery with 25W fast charging support. The device also has Qi / PMA wireless fast charging and 9W reverse charging support. Apart from this, the device has IP68 dust and water resistance technology and has an S-Pen stylus with a 26ms latency. The company has introduced this phone with upgraded Samsung browser applications that provide a desktop experience.

 In terms of connectivity, it has 4G, LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. Whereas, it has a fingerprint, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass, and barometer features for the sensor. Finally, it measures 161.1x75.2x8.3 mm in dimensions and 192 grams in weight.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 has a 6.9-inch  WQHD dynamic AMOLED 2x curved display with 1440 x 3088-pixel resolution. This phone also comes with a punch-hole design display for a selfie camera. This hole-punch display has a 120Hz @ FHD and a 60Hz @ QHD refresh rate, 19.3:9 aspect ratio, 496 PPI pixel density, and 91.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. While In terms of security, the device is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Protection which has HDR10 + support.

Whereas the same device comes in China and USA markets with a 3.0GHz octa-core Kryo processor and is equipped with an Adreno 650 GPU with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset. In addition, the device runs on One UI 2.5 ROM based on the latest version Android 10 operating system and is paired with 8GB + 12GB RAM and 128GB + 256GB + 512GB Storage variant options. While to save bulk data in the device, it has given support for storage expansion via a dedicated micro SD card slot of up to 1TB.

Camera Features of Galaxy Note 20 Ultra:-

For photography, this device features three rear camera setup on the back panel that includes a 108-megapixel primary camera with an f / 1.8 lens. The primary camera features a laser autofocus module with optical image stabilization and offers a 79-degree field-of-view. In addition, the setup includes a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with an f / 3.0 lens that offers 5x optical zoom and 50x hybrid zoom. Finally, there is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f / 2.2 lens, which provides a 120-degree field-of-view.

 Just like Galaxy Note 20, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra also has a 10-megapixel selfie camera with an f / 2.2 lens on the front panel, which supports dual-pixel autofocus. Apart from this, the company has given Dolby Atmos speakers in this device for better music experience. Also, the phone has an on-display Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for security.

Further, this device also equipped with an IP68 dust and water resistance technology and has an S-Pen stylus with a 9ms latency. The company has launched this phone with upgraded Samsung browser applications and Samsung Notes app just like Galaxy Note 20. Apart from this, to share or transfer any file or data, the company has given an Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) support in this phone, which helps to share any file quickly with nearby UWB supported devices.

Price & Availability of Galaxy Note 20 & Note 20 Ultra:-

A day after the global launch of the Galaxy Note 20 series, the company has now announced India pricing of the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra phones of this series. The price of Galaxy Note 20 in India is Rs 77,999 and this price has been fixed for 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variants. While the second variant comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage option, which has been priced at Rs 104,999.

 On the other hand, the price of Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in India starts at Rs 104999 and this price has been fixed for 12 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variants. While the price of the other two 256GB + 512GB storage variants has not yet been revealed in India. The Galaxy Note 20 comes in Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze, and Mystic Green color options, while the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has been made available in Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze, and Mystic White color options.

 The company has started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra phones in India through the Samsung.com site as well as various offline stores, and it will go on sale in the country from August 21. Apart from this, the company is also offering a cashback offer on pre-booking of these phones under certain terms, in which the company is giving cashback of Rs 6000 on Note 20 and Rs 9000 on Note 20 Ultra phone.
